HOTEL LOBBY

In my Drawing 2 class, students were given a floor plan from our professor and got to come up with our own concepts.

I was greatly inspired by Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Connecticut. I visited there a lot growing up. I loved the tribal-esque, natural elements of the casino. There was a lot of stone, wood, and natural tones. A lot of waterfalls and water features were spread throughout the casino.

In my design, I included a lot of stone and wood. I made the railings an organic form, so it can look like real wood. The columns are made of stone. Though, I tried to keep it somewhat modern at the same time. The furniture is minimal, just solid, neutral colors. There are two sunken seating areas, giving off a mid-century feel.
